Job Description

The Optimization Consultant is responsible for performing the Workforce Assessment engagements and driving the ongoing optimization services to implement our proprietary HELM (Healthcare Enterprise Labor Management) methodology into client organizations. This role works with front-line leadership in a variety of settings (phone/webinar, virtual training, classroom, and small group collaborations) to implement, coach and train on the Avantas HELM methodologies and core set of product offerings. Using evidence-based recommendations, and focusing on adoption of the suite of technology and services offered by Avantas, while leveraging and applying strong change management techniques, the Optimization Consultant will ensure clients achieve the project goals and outcomes desired.

Job Tasks

  • Identifies, analyzes, interprets and presents trends relevant to the client’s business and objectives.
  • Leverages Lean (or similar) process development techniques to guide client to a more efficient operational approach to the workflows for scheduling and staffing.
  • Develops and delivers technical and strategic training curriculum on Avantas workforce strategies and technical solutions.
  • Frequently contributes to projects and lead cross-functional work teams within Avantas to meet client needs.
  • Influences the client at key decision points to ensure a successful outcome.
  • Assists in expanding the scope of client relationships with additional products and services in collaboration with other functional areas within Avantas.
  • Drives the end-to-end consultation, education and automation engagements in a variety of client environments.
  • Maintains highest level subject matter expertise (SME), including current Avantas Work Strategy methodologies. Delivers SME in a convincing, engaging manner using a variety of written and presentation methods.
  • Seek to obtain, utilize and provide ongoing feedback for personal development and business process improvements. Coaches less experience team members.

Minimum Experience/Certifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in business or management
  • 3+ years of relevant business and relationship development experience

Preferred Experience

  • Healthcare systems experience (Operations or Clinical)
  • Successful track history of 2 or more years of strategic account management or consulting
  • Presentation to executive level audiences
  • Proven success in process improvement Lean/Six Sigma or similar experience preferred
  • Leadership/Leading complex teams and processes
  • Proven analytical skills, root cause analysis and solution
  • Leveraging change management techniques
