Not only did we ring in a new year in 2020, but a new decade as well. As we look internally over the past ten years and see how far we’ve come and what steps we took to get here, we can’t help but acknowledge our past to set our future goals.
We’re not immune to stumbles and setbacks. We’ve met hurdles and challenges in the past ten years. But with every obstacle came a learning moment. And as we have our eyes set on 2020 as being a year of clarity, we must leverage our hindsight for foresight.
What does this mean for us? For starters, we acknowledge that innovation is fruitless without having our customers top of mind. As a partner to healthcare provider organizations, our mission is to help improve workforce processes to best deliver care to patients. We aim to not only ease the strain of organizational departments, but to improve the work lives of healthcare staff so that they are better equipped to provide care.
As a technology-focused company, it requires a delicate balance to make sure we are keeping up with technological advancements and opportunities, while remembering our healthcare partners and human users of our solutions.
We like to think we change and adapt much like our predictive analytics technology. Just like any other advanced data technology, the more historical data that predictive analytics is fed, the more accurate the forecast. Without analyzing historical patterns, predictive analytics could simply not make predictions on future outcomes. It needs historical data to thrive.
Predictive analytics is just a tool, an instrument to help facilitate decision making. It’s not a stand-alone solution. It requires work and trust for it to work optimally. It is here that we can relate to our healthcare partners.
It’s not easy to evaluate yourself. Think back to the many times you’ve been asked in job interviews for your weaknesses (and not flipping them into strengths). It’s hard to look back and admit less than your best. But no one is perfect. And imperfection means opportunity for growth.
So as we analyze our past and trust in the process, we know we must make actionable steps to achieve our goals and help our healthcare provider partners optimize their workforce to meet their objectives. Let’s bring 2020 into focus.
