The Client Education Consultant designs and delivers best practice training programs and tools to educate internal and external users on Avantas’ award-winning software-as-a-service, Smart Square®, in alignment with our industry-leading business consulting process, HELM™ (Healthcare Enterprise Labor Management). The Client Education Consultant leads a variety of Software training initiatives ranging from the development and maintenance of user guides, the assessment, delivery and evaluation of product training, to the identification and design of advanced certification programs.
Travel is required, 25-30%.
Job Tasks:
- Design and deliver product and service demonstrations customized to client situation, audience need, and competitive landscape. Continuously improve demonstration delivery methods and tools based upon client and colleague needs. Delivers content via a variety of mediums including classroom, elearning, quick reference guides and conference calls. Will travel for on-site client delivery.
- Consults with internal and external users to conduct needs assessments to to ensure training effectiveness and determine knowledge gaps. Recommends solutions in alignment with Smart Square and Client Services strategies. Creates evaluation checkpoints to determine success.
- Consults with Avantas leaders, clients and colleagues to develop and facilitate product and system certification programs (i.e. Smart Square Admin). Uses training best practices to design, deliver, conduct and evaluate programs. Continuously evaluates program effectiveness and identifies opportunies for additional knowledge and advanced certification programs.
- Researches, defines and recommends Internet and eLearning based training programs including content design tools. Uses elearning development tools to create on-demand learning opportunities for Smart Square users. Hosts live webinars using industry standard tools (WebEx, Intercall, etc).
- Develop, maintain and distribute all software training documentation including, but not limited to, User Guide, CSR User Guide, Facilitator Guides for Basic and Advanced Training, System Administrator Guide, tip sheets, videos and tool tips within Smart Square.
- Develop highest level Subject Matter Expertise associated with industry trends and Avantas and competitor products and services. Leverage product and service knowledge within each step of the client lifecycle. Maintains high level expertise in training design, delivery and evaluation techniques via defined Talent Development (ATD) standards.
- Collaborate with the Innovation Team to deliver communication and/or training on new functionality which would include the project management and training to internal and external stakeholders on the strategic benefits and optimal use of Smart Square.
- Collaborate with Quality Assurance to evaluate and test final end-user experience by ensuring current and new functionality is bug free and adheres to a superior user experience.
- Analyze client usage and ticket trends to identify high opportunity training and recommend to AM/SSS/Consulting teams ways that clients can adjust configuration or processes to maximize the optimization of Smart Square.

Education, Certifications & Experience
Minimum Education/Certifications:
- Minimum of five years applicable experience is required.
Preferred Education/Certifications:
- Software training experience preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree with emphasis in business, healthcare or technology preferred.
- Experience in hospital management, healthcare administration, or acute care preferred.
Minimum Experience:
- Successful curriculum design and delivery (classroom and e-learning) experience required.
- Success with consulting senior leaders and stakeholders to recommend effective training programs/solutions.
- Professional and / or academic history of successfully demonstrating Learner, Customer-Centric and Focus / Motivation attributes to achieve Expertise, Raving Fans and Line of Sight Goals.
- Strong presentation skills and demonstrated consulting ability.
- Strong project management skills, strategic thinking skills and success navigating clients through change.
- Computer literacy, including working knowledge of Microsoft Office products required.
