Smart Square offers communication methods within the application for notifications and messages related to scheduling and staffing. Users have the ability to indicate if they would also like these communications delivered to an email or mobile device. In an effort to accommodate for a variety of mobile carriers, Smart Square users will now have additional options available in the notification settings page.
The following mobile carriers have been added:
All carrier options can be accessed and selected via Change Settings from the staff member’s homepage. Any notification selected to be received by email (or text) will contain the full list of carriers available.
There was an opportunity to improve the cyclic pattern process by providing visibility to the pattern week directly in the Unit Schedule. This allows users to see exactly what week the pattern will apply to without manually having to count back weeks before applying cyclic patterns.
We have included a drop-down menu that will display the following options:
Selecting Show cyclic weeks will list all cyclic patterns applicable to the unit and the relevant pattern week.
Click the radio button next to a specific cyclic pattern to filter the unit schedule to display only those staff members associated with the selected pattern.
In the example below, you can see the Cyclic Pattern definition created for RND1. The pattern is: Sunday, 7a-7p, Wednesday, 7a-7p and Thursday, 7a-7p. The same consistency occurs for Week 2.
Upon release, this will be the view from the within the Unit Schedule clearly displaying the cyclic pattern week.
The Shift Summary Report is designed for the staff member providing a summary of the Open Shifts selected and cancellations over a selected period of time. This report currently displays a zero dollar amount for those Open Shift programs without incentives. This can be misleading to the end-user. Upon release, this column will no longer display for those Open Shift programs not offering incentives. If incentives are not in-scope for the group, the Average Shift Incentive column and the Incentive column within the Work Shift Detail table will be hidden.
The following example displays how the report columns are displayed today regardless of an incentivized program. After release, the report will remain as is for those who participate in an incentivized program.
The following example shows how the columns will appear for those staff members part of a group where incentives are not in scope. There is no reference to incentives.
